Saurin is a product manager for the data lake and storage components of the Snowflake product. He started the data lake workload in Snowflake and has launched functionalities including external tables, data lake export, hive metastore connector, and unstructured data management. Prior to joining Snowflake, he worked for Microsoft where he held various roles from engineering to product management in multiple divisions such as Windows, Office, and Azure. In his last role at Microsoft, he launched big data services including Azure HDInsight and Azure Databricks.
